How To Stay Healthy This Winter – Take A Walk

If you want to avoid colds this winter, try exercising. Researchers at Appalachian State University recently completed a survey of 1000 people aged 18 – 85.  Those who exercised regularly had the fewest and least severe colds.  Cold symptoms ended 43% to 46% sooner among those that exercised five times a week or more.  A daily 30 minute brisk walk or other similar exercise appears to get immune cells circulating more and puts them on alert to fight colds.
