For you faithful readers of this blog, you will remember that two weeks ago I posed a competition pitting dart throwing comedian Auggie Smith against Kiplinger Magazine and a Vanguard Index Fund. Although we are only two weeks into the competition, I thought you might be interested in an update. From an initial investment of $10,000 per account, here are the standings:
- In first place, the very simple and low fee Vanguard World Fund (VT). The $10,000 initial investment is now worth $10,216.75.
- Kiplingers just barely edges out Auggie, with a value of $10,190.59.
- Auggies dart-chosen porfolio is worth $10,144.83.
